The Jewelry Show.

I was in Jewelry heaven. I have never seen so many necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings... you name it! Jake Bushman, my friend Shawna's husband was nice enough to get Shawna, Taren, and I into this Jewelry Show. We had to wear name tags with "alias" names on them. lol I seriously could have stayed there all day! We only had about an hour and 1/2 to look around- not near enough time. It was actually a good thing that I didn't bring any cash, and also that time was short, otherwise I think I probably would have done some damage. The only things I bought was a dang cute baseball cap ( I love baseball caps!) and a watch for me and a watch for a friends birthday. The total for all? A whopping $18.00! Awesome! The show comes back in August and I am planning on doing all my Christmas shopping there, so I hope you all like Jewelry!

The Terrible Six's???

Who could ever believe that this sweet looking little girl could be so, well, NOT sweet?

Is there such thing as the terrible six's? Ashlynn entered the terrible two's before she turned two and has never outgrown them! Those of you who know me, know that Ashlynn has always been.... well, let's just say, she has always been rather mischievious.... to put it mildly. This week has not been an exception. There could be some very good reasons why she has been doing the things she has, such as, she is on track break. NOT a good thing. Ashlynn gets bored easily and when she is bored, who knows what she will come up with to entertain herself. She has also been sick with sinusitis, ear infections, allergies, and a cough. I think she has felt so crappy, that she tries to do things to make herself forget about just how crappy she really feels. Ashlynn has spent a good deal of this week in time out. Here a couple reasons why....
Last night I put the two girls in the bath. It wasn't long before I heard Samantha screaming bloody murder. I ran in the bathroom to see what was going on and found out that Ashlynn had squirted body wash up Samantha's nose. Of course Samantha was screaming because it was burning her nose and throat. I guess that Ashlynn told Samantha to smell the body wash (it was a tube, like a hand lotion tube), and then decided it would be funny to squeeze the tube. So, Samantha balled and screamed for 45 minutes. I ended up having to lay her on the bar and use a saringe to flush her nose out with warm water. Now, tell me WHY would you do that? This is a question I am constantly asking Ashlynn.
She ended the night by screwing up my computer to the point where I couldn't get it to do anything. It is still acting all funky... who knows what she did to it.
Now here is the real story I wanted to write about. This morning I was on my home phone with my insurance company. Sometimes I have to go in the garage to talk cause I can't hear over the kids. I came in and Ashlynn said "Mom, you've had a couple calls on your cell phone." Well, proceded to look at my phone and saw that Ashlynn had been busy calling everyone in my address book. She called Charlie the mechanic, my brother Brandon in Montana, several of my friends, oh yeah, and Allstate. My friend Rachel missed the call and then called the number back to see who it was and Ashlynn answered. I asked Rachel to e mail me with how the conversation went because it was so hillarious....

Ashlynn- Hello?
Rachel-Hello?
A- Hello.
R- Hi, I just got a phone call from this number (realizing that I was talking to a child)Who's this?
A- No, who's this?
R- This is Rachel, who's this?
A- I don't know, I can't tell you.
R- Oh, ok, is your mommy there?
A- Yes, but she is on the other phone.
R- Ok, (still not knowing who I was talking to) Is your last name Smith?
A- No.
R- Jones?
A- No, It's Veenendaal.
R- Alright, well your mom just called me so I wanted to call her back.
A- So, do you have a daughter?
R- Yes.
A- What's her name?
R- Kaylee.
A- Hmmmm. Do you have red hair?
R- Nope. Brown.
A- Do you live in Las Vegas?
R- Yes.
A- Ok- I think I know who this is now. I will tell my mom that you called. Bye.
R- Ok, bye, bye.

I then proceded to get messages on my phone all day from everyone saying that they were sorry they had missed my call.... including from Charlie the mechanic. lol
I will never be able to say that life is dull with Ashlynn around- I guess I can be grateful for that.
