Taren's Birthday Dinner

On Saturday night a group of us girls went out to celebrate my friend Taren's Birthday. We went to Bonito Michoacan. It is a really yummy mexican restaurant. We had a great time, we always have so much fun when we get together. Taren, I have really loved getting to know you. You are such a sweet, beautiful person. Happy Birthday!

Build A Bear

Going back a little... the week before last on Feb. 12, the girls had the chance to go to Build A Bear for little Kenna's birthday party. Kenna is my friend Taren's little girl. Ashlynn and Samantha absolutely had a blast. I had never taken them there before, and I must say, I was really impressed. What a fun activity for the kids, it was Great! Thanks for inviting us Taren!

Our 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Friday was mine and Dustin's 10 year anniversary, and as I said in the previous post, the day started out perfectly. Little did I know that it would only get better from there. I usually can't say that I have had a perfect day, but this day actually was.... I can't think of one thing that wasn't great. When I got home from hiking, Dustin and I were talking and deciding where we wanted to go out to eat. Tara and Jason had offered to watch the kids for us. We ended up deciding on King's Fish House. Dustin looked up the menu online and told me to look at it and decide what I wanted to eat, so that we wouldn't have to decide when we got there. I thought it was a little weird, but I did it anyways. When I was done looking, I got up to go to the bedroom and there was a dozen roses in the middle of the living room along with 3 gifts that he had wrapped in inside out Christmas wrapping paper. :) The first one he had me open was a new griddle, Ashlynn had dropped mine on the kitchen floor a couple of months ago and broke all the legs off of it. The next one I opened was a new Crock Pot, mine has had a short in it for I don't know how long, and was such a pain to use. Those were both awesome gifts, but the last one took the cake for sure! It was a new camera... the one that I had been wanting forever, a Canon Rebel! I seriously could not believe my eyes, all I wanted to do was cry because I was so overwhelmed with everything he had done. It was so nice to go to dinner just the two of us, too. Thanks so much Tara and Jason for watching the kids.

When I think of our 10 years together, I honestly cannot believe how fast it has gone. We have been through a lot together, many ups and downs, and I believe we have become stronger and closer because of this. Dustin is a wonderful man.... he works so hard to provide for our family. I appreciate everything he does on a daily basis for me and the kids. Here's to another 10 years, Babe, I love you!

Hiking at Red Rock

Friday morning my good friend Aimee called and asked if Samantha and I wanted to go hiking at Red Rock. We met our other friends Brandy and Erika, and the kids and headed up there. We hiked up a trail that took about 20 minutes (it only took that long because we had 7 little kids). Our destination was a waterfall. I was so amazed when we got there, it was so beautiful. There was snow and a creek, and the waterfall was surrounded by tall rock, almost cave like. It was so nice just being outside in nature. I didn't have cell service, and I felt like I could just leave all the stress, and hustle and bustle of everyday life behind for a while. It really was rejuvinating for me. When we hiked back down we had a nice little picnic, visited, and watched the kids play. I can't wait to take Dustin and the other kids back up there, I know they would love it! All in all this was a great start to my perfect day.... Dustin and my anniversary.
